SO-ME doesn't process payments or refunds. The retailer you bought from is the seller of record and the only party who can issue a refund.
Most UK retailers refund within 7-14 days of receiving the returned item. The retailer's returns page is the source of truth for their specific timeline; we link to it from the Delivery & Returns accordion on every product page.
Refunds are issued back to the original payment method. If you paid by card, allow up to 3-5 working days for the credit to appear on your statement after the retailer confirms the refund.
Some retailers deduct a flat return-postage fee from the refund. Where we know this amount we show it on the product page (for example "£1.99 deducted from refund"). The figure refunded will be the order total minus that fee.
Some retailers also deduct the original outbound delivery fee unless you return the entire order within 14 days. Check the retailer's policy if you haven't returned everything.
Contact the retailer first. If you don't get a response within their stated timeframe (typically 14 days), escalate to your card provider via Section 75 (credit card) or chargeback (debit card). Your bank can recover funds where the retailer has failed to deliver or refund.
